Explore the Rich History of Fredericksburg, Texas

Experience the heart of Texas Hill Country with local favorites just steps from The Evers House.

A Rich Tapestry of History

Founded in 1846 by German immigrants, Fredericksburg still features many historical sites and museums dedicated to preserving the town’s almost 175-year history. The Ever’s House was built on one of the many unnumbered lots in Fredericksburg in 1880. The home was built out of quality materials such as Limestone following the Civil War. During this time, people were less focused on the hardships of war, more focused on building substantial homes instead of the log and fachwerk that homes settlers previously lived in. The property also houses the second oldest tree in Gillespie County, which is 400 years old!
